Heart Scans

Electrocardiogram (ECG)

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple test that can be used to check your heart’s rhythm and electrical activity. This can also help to identify abnormal heart rhythms, a previous heart attack or problems with the heart muscle. Sensors are attached to skin to detect the electrical signals produced by the heart when it beats. The test takes around 5-10 minutes and is completely painless

Echocardiogram (Ultrasound Heart Scan)

An echocardiogram shows the anatomy, structure and function of your heart. Echocardiography is a type of ultrasound test which is used to measure the structure and function of the heart valves and heart muscle. During the test, sound waves are emitted through your skin using a handheld device called a transducer. It also assesses chambers of the heart and it can show how well heart is pumping. It takes about 30-45 minutes. This test is also painless.
